Mattie Mae Krause is the Executive Director and founder of The Healing Paws Network. She was born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin and attended undergrad at the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse where she earned her Bachlors of Science in Biomedicine and dual minors in chemistry and nutrition. Mattie Mae then attended Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. She is currently a first year foot and ankle surgical resident in New Jersey. She is also currently working to become a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor. Mattie Mae is a proud dog mom to her three rescue pups: Leia, Solo, & Chewie. Solo is currently becoming a registered therapy dog with Pet Partners. In her free time, Mattie Mae enjoys working out, competing in obstacle course races, and watching movies with friends and family.
